waspish
My throttle cable has started getting a little sticky, so I'd like to replace it. However, I haven't figured out how to get the throttle end's nipple out from the throttle quadrant that sits in between the pair of bodies. I am hoping it can be done with the RBTBs in situ?I have put a photo up on thumbsnap, apologies if it's huge, I'm not sure how to make it smaller...!http://thumbsnap.com/SRx8fC75http://thumbsnap.com/SRx8fC75http://thumbsnap.com/i/SRx8fC75.jpg
SM25T
Looks like you lift the cable upwards on the left side until it is level with the slot in the upper quadrant in the photo. Then slide the cable upwards so it passes through the slot and hopefully the gap allows the barrel nipple to come free ?
oilyhands
Rotate the cable towards the backplate as far as it will let you. Align the cable shaft with the small slot on the right hand side of the portion that encapsulates the nipple , the nipple will then slide out to the right. You may find it easier to wedge the TBS open a little to move the quadrant into a more easily accessible position.Oily
