John Gaines Posted July 25, 2016 Share Posted July 25, 2016 I replaced the cambelt and pulleys about 300 miles ago but have noticed that the tensioner marker moves back and forth about 5 mm when the engine is running. cr500dom Posted July 26, 2016 Share Posted July 26, 2016 Thats why a lot of the Engine builders fit Manual tensioners, at 7000rpm it can make quite a difference to your cam timing with the tensioner moving about. Which has a corresponding big impact on Power at High revs too. Its on my "Jobs to do list" on my Blacktop, along with swinging the exhaust cam timing too Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
