Englishmaninwales
As title. This would be fitted to 1400K Supersport with metal plenum and forward facing throttle body, circa 1992-1996. Anybody upgraded their old 1400 to 1600/1800 and with Jenvys got one lying around? I'd be happy to take the whole throttle body if not willing to split.Thanks.Malcolm

Englishmaninwales
Still looking for a TPS. Prehaps you have an early type throttle body, with one attached, lurking in your garage following your upgrade to Jenvys? Leadership Team RogNeedham Posted June 9, 2015 Leadership Team Share Posted June 9, 2015 Hi Malc.....hope you're well. I have a TPS taken from my car last year when I was trying sort a problem. If that's not suitable (from SLR), I can still get Rover parts from my former employer if you have a part number.give me a shout on 07528 825805 as I'm heading Liverpool tomorrow for a conference and could take TPS with meall the bestRog
simonpa
It's different - Malc needs one from a reeeealy early 1.4k, the TB is ali-bodied and the IACV is a mahoosive carbuncle on the side.It would be simpler to just buy a later plastic or alloy plenum/TB and change the IACV wiring - not sure if the ECU handles it the same, though. However, I usually disconnect the IACV when warmed up and leave it fixed. That way the 'granny mode' raised idle when changing gears is disabled, allowing the engine revs to drop faster.. Englishmaninwales
Hi SimonYes, as I understand that as ECU supports a stepper motor idle control rather than a IACV, an ECU change is needed as well as TB/plenum, and suspect that would necessitate an engine loom change too....Scrap yards next, or hopefully a blatchatter who has upgraded their old 1400 to 1600/1800 with Jenvys...
