I've always liked watches and reading a thread on blatchat about 12 years ago I purchased an Omega Seamaster Chronometer. Its a lovely watch but doesn't keep very good time - prob loses a couple of minutes a month.
I know some people don't get the whole watch thing and either have a cheap functional watch or use their phone. Apart from my wedding ring I don't do jewelry so I like wear different timepieces.
I've got about 14, a few of which I've purchased over the last few years after finding watch reviews on youtube, particularly from TheUrbanGentry. I would describe my collection as 'budget quality' with a few highlights, one of which would be the Omega. These include:-
Seiko Sport 5 I had for Christmas from my parents when I was about 15 (36 years ago!)
CWC G10 with date which is a UK quartz army issue watch - this keeps the best time of all the watches I have.
Seiko SKX011J dive watch - the orange one, Japanese made, not Malaysia.
Christopher Ward C3 Malvern quartz chronograph (this company made a L7 club watch but mine is the ordinary one)
Casio MDV106 another dive watch not available in the UK. Incredibly good value at around $50.
I also have a couple of Swatch watches, Casio digital watches incl a G shock, Timex Expedition indiglo and grandads work pocket watch. I probably wear the Timex most of all as there is rarely a job I need to take it off for
On the 'watch list' (boom boom) is something with Tritium eg Nite or Marathon, Swatch sistem51, Casio DW5600MS and possibly an Orient Bambino. All inexpensive time pieces but quality items rather than a designer name on something that is poor quality inside and with no horological history.
What do you have in the collection?
PS - I dont have a coffee or bread maker!
