I can't believe that we have 2575 views on something so trivial as a membership card . And now I am making it 2576 ...
Nearly every club I belong to issues a card does so on a credit card type job. I think the current club one is cheap and nasty and I don't want to dick around with a phone or whatever to prove membership . You might say it's a waste of money - but one can say that about anything the club does with which one disagrees. I 'd prefer the option , even for a fee (what are they -30p and p and p ? ) to have something better than the sad , curled up piece of shiny paper in my wallet .
As mentioned before let's have decent cards.
What is the random date on the printable version.....renewal date, expiry....?? I know but others won't Inc my insurer who offer a discount for club membership. Please sort this out.
Apart from the girl on the till in Halfords, who ever sees your membership card? In 18 years of membership I have never been asked to show my card at any club meetings or events or to any supplier, every March it goes in my wallet and stays there until the following March, a total waste of time and money IMO.
HOWEVER . . . . . . . . . . . if the majority of members want one we should have one, it's OUR club
The club previously had a "proper" membership card and as Kingsley stated (post #6 two weeks ago) this is being addressed and should soon be in place again, the Loveadmin virtual card is a bodge and the Loveadmin app doesn't actually work.
We're aware there are plenty of members that have no interest or need for a card but likewise those members should be understanding that there's at least an equal number of members who prefer having a real card, it's not a big cost in the scheme of things.
