Vehicle requirements

The championship is bound  by the regulations of Motor Sport UK, the governing body of all motorsport. There are a few items to check before competing:

The petty strut must bear the manufacturer’s certification sticker, this May be checked by the  scrutineer. If you have a full roll cage this must also bear a verification sticker. Cars over 2000 cc must have a full roll cage.

Yellow tape on the battery earth.

A timing strut which can be purchased from Caterham or made from sheet aluminium, a drawing is here. This can be fixed to the grill with cable ties.

A sticker on the dash indicating where to kill the ignition. A sheet of stickers can be purchased from motor sport suppliers or eBay.

Arrows pointing to towing eyes, usually on the sticker sheet above.

Competitors will be allocated a number at the start of the season which has to be displayed on both sides of the car.

And finally.....

This is a series where we all enter for the fun of it, the winners collect trophies but the main enjoyment is spending the day with like minded people driving your car at the limit with a bit of friendly competition thrown in. That’s why many come back year after year. The  regulations may look stringent but in reality are very easy to comply with.
