New Blat Maps functionality

Hello POBC,

Today the club went "live" with the new Blat Maps route planning and mapping solution, and there is an article in LF to accompany the changes. All existing routes have been uploaded, so we have not lost anything.

We are due to receive a video to "enable" members, but there has been a slight delay with this. its mentioned in the article, but you will not find it anywhere.

What we'd like to do is give you a few pointers:

1. When you got into L7C you gain access to this capability, you have to be a club member to do so.

2. When you click through onto a route and select "route details" you will be taken to a Lotus 7 Club page on the MyRouteApp website and you will need to click on either of their two buttons to "participate"

3. Set up an account with them (free of charge)

4. Our admin team get notified and we then connect your account to ours by "approving" you

5. When you then go back to the Blat Maps section, you will gain full access to the routes

6. You can "save" to a Satnav device, or "export" to a file format of your choice, or even "USE ROUTE" which moves a copy of the club route into your personal MyRouteApp account for you to edit or do what you want with.

More advanced tips to follow on creating routes and sharing them back with the L7C group, but let's get playing with it first, whilst we are waiting for the video from the MyRouteApp developers.

Thanks

Marcus

Once you’ve clicked on a route in blat maps and clicked on “participate”, blat map admins connect your request to club membership. Next time you click on a route in blat maps, you get immediate access to the L7C group within MRA.

Hi Christophe,

If you created your MyRouteApp account from our BlatMaps page (within Guides section), then when you click on "participate" you either register and we receive your registration and accept you into the private group, or you log in to your existing MyRouteApp account and we do the same thing.

If you "just" have a standalone MyRouteApp account, then you have to go through this process to "join" the L7C group and the routes within.

Thank you for your help.

I tried to log in with my email and password on myroute-app. Their system tells me that my account is not yet activated by replying to their email. I have checked thoroughly in my mailbox and I haven't received an email. I have then selected the option to send again this activation email but my mailbox remains empty... no trace from their activation email.... strange

Maybe I should try with another email...

Very odd Christophe. We know that things are working Ok at our end, as our small team of admins is accepting requests to join the Lotus7Club group through our pages every day.

I'm out of suggestions other than the activation email is in your spam/junk folder, or you typed it in incorrectly ;)

If no luck, I think your suggestion of trying another one of your email addresses would be the way forward...

Thanks

Marcus
