ok,I have a multicar policy but it may not allow a caterham,so my question is whos good for insuring caterhams??? and do we get any discount s through the club?
Do a search and you'll get loads of suggestions. I use A plan and have claimed, without any problems, after someone drove into my other car. You'll benefit from using one of the specialist brokers who know our cars.
Better to go with one of the specialist brokers IMO as mentioned, many of whom use the same small panel of insurers which cover our types of vehicles. Therefore it's largely a case of comparing quote price against types of cover/add-ons/ track days / agreed value or not etc. offered.
With all insurance it's only when you have a claim that you find out if you've made the right decision.
Have some background I did last year prior to renewal Mr pkw.
Things do change by postcode, age, car, etc., but it's a start.
The ones underlined in the first column have/did have L7C deals available in the Deals section on here.
Happy hunting
Hi Giles which did you go with ,,,and have you had any claims ,,,,cos as they say that's when the shit hits the fan at claim time ,,,self been with flux now for last seven years ,,,no claim to date ,,,
It is literally a lottery when seeking cover for a Seven. The majority of providers have very strict underwriting rules where if the car exceeds a certain agreed value they will not cover. Not interested in the power out put or bling extras.
Insured with A-Plan since 2013 one of the few that will cover my R400D & the only one offering a sensible price.
Prior to renewal I do the same old trawl, get the same answers so end up with the same provider again. Well done Carlie!
