REIS for me .
MSM - you get to deal with people who understand out cars
A-Plan after 8 years with REIS.
A-Plan was only slightly less, but seemed to offer better customer service & 'only' £1,000 Trackday excess (REIS 10% of value) & with the screen covered. REIS do Trackday or Screen, but will do both if you ask & pay for it.
Although both are using the same actual insurance company.

I think I've been with REIS and their earlier incarnations for most of my 22 year Caterham ownership. Always been very helpful and understanding of my Agreed Value and very friendly to deal with in my experience. Premiums have remained fairly constant and no nasty price hikes. They also insure my trailer.
As everyone says you only know how good someone is when you need to claim. Been there and done that and very happy with the way they handled a no fault claim from an accident abroad, including repatriation and repair. Agreed value was worth it's weight in gold as the claim came to approx. £12k on a 22 year old 7. Following repair Agreed value was increased by 50%.
Their legal services at the time were also extremely efficient and final compensation covered all consequential losses, injuries and more....

I spoke with Carlie today with a with a couple of questions that were more complex than basic insurance quotations.
Apart from being very pleasant she also had great knowledge and quickly gave me comprehensive answers whilst squeezing my call in between 2 Zoom calls!
Another big thumbs up for A-Plan as my insurer.
Thanks Chris, It was my pleasure!
I was on annual leave yesterday so playing catch up today :D glad I managed to squeeze you in for a quick chat
As previous respondents have said you need to make sure you ring around.
After all the positive feedback on A-Plan I gave them a call last week, as it's renewal time. Standard K Series R300, 3 drivers (all over 60), 2 years no claims on the Caterham policy (I've only had it 2 years & no claims in 10+ years on my other car), garaged, Track Day and Legal cover - £464 *eek*!! Harry seemed rather surprised when I didn't want to take his quote any further.
REIS wanted £527!!
I don't know, but it might be that certain companies have a level of Caterhams they are prepared to have on their books, and then just push up the premiums. It's difficult to come to any other conclusions when you see the variation in premiums that people are paying. Either that or it will fall dramatically as I build up my No Claims.
It would be nice if someone like Carlie could give us an insight into how the Caterham insurance market does work.
Chris, no two cases are the same but I'm with A plan and pay £272 for a CSR260, 4,000 miles per annum, garaged, one driver over 60 with no track day cover. If that gives you a comparison. As I said before, I had a claim with them for my other car that wasn't my fault and it was handled as you would hope.
