14 inch Minilite help please

After some advice about wheels please. I am currently running 13s and R888R on my 7 and I want to fit some 14 inch ( or possibly 13 inch) Minilite style wheels for a winter tyre option. My car is a 2018 MY 360R. I'd like a staggered set, so 6 inch front and 7 or 8 inch rears. The Caterham supplied option are 6 inch only. The myriad questions of offset etc just confuse me so I am looking for a simple recommendation of what are you are using and where to get them please. Thanks.

Andy

Up to 200hp 6Js are fine all round esp in the winter!

I had 14” Minators supplied with my car in ‘98 and they were a good wheel. They do come up second hand no and then. Dont think I’ve ever seen them in any widths other than 6J.

I’d start with availability / size of your preferred winter tyre and then look for wheels.

https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=235&aspect=50&diameter=18&wheelwidth=7.5&offset=45&width2=205&aspect2=65&wheel_size=16&wheel_width=6-5&offset2=51

this is a good wheel checker, to understand size and ET of new Vs originals..

You don't want wide tyres in the winter.

When I put winter tyres on the Seven I chose one size narrower than my summer set. For me this was 175 in winter vs 185 for summer.

By all means use wider wheels & tyres but use those for summer.

Hello Andy

A few years ago I opted for 7 inch rears to go with the  6 inch minilites I had already had on the front.I contacted George Polley Motorsport  http://www.polleysport.com/ who were able to supply a 7 inch KN Minator (looks identical to the minilite ) with the correct offset and some reasonably priced Yokohama tyres. Might be worth getting in touch with them and they are not that far up the road from you I believe.
