2020 F1 SEASON INCL SPOILERS

Another year beckons Thumb Up

I think it's all going to be a lot tighter at the front this year, with Red Bull truly joining the fray and I'm looking forward to seeing who has made big steps over the winter, particularly McLaren, Williams and Renault.

Would it also not be amazing if Lewis could equal Michael's record of 7 championships, but maybe in '21 in a Ferrari?

Here's to a great F1 season Thumb Up

PS: How much of the development of the 2021 cars will be visible?

I'd vote for LH getting his 8th and beating the record with Ferrari in 2021, but I can't see that happening with CL there - he'll be their number one driver after Seb leaves at the end of this season.

I look forward to looking back at that and seeing just how wrong I'd been Rofl

but will be good to watch

Looking forward to the 2020 season as I think that racing will be closer & tighter.

I will get first hand assessment at the Red Bull Ring in July....yipeee can't wait!

What does any one think of Formula E? As I have contrived a week in Marrakesh around the F E race weekend & SWBO agreed!

As has been said looking forward to a closer season at the top this year, I'm planning on going to the British GP as it's the last year the cars will be at this level of performance for quite a while.

Fingers crossed it's a competitive season for the top teams.

Geoff - I welcome FE as an interesting addition to motorsport . It does seem fashionable for some to sneer at a series with major manufacturer involevement, and top flight drivers , purely because (or notionally because ) the cars don;t make much noise . I don't really get that at all- the only time noise really matters is when you are there yourself . But FE , like F1 is almost exclusively a TV sport , where noise is mainly background mood music . I suspect the real reason people profess to loathe it is because it is a symptom of a changing world and they don't like it very much . But hating FE is not going to stop the change.

I love engine noise - I proudly will mention (again - yawn ) my war wound of a perforated ear drum from an F1  Mugen V10 and I'd love it if the F1 grid sounded like it did in 1989 but , well , times change...

This year - it is intriguing , as it often is when a change is imminent. Think back to 88 , the last year of 1.5 turbos, and it felt like everybody was just cruising , just trying to get through the year once the dominant team (McLaren then of course ) had showed , early on , that it was invincible .   2013 was no classic either - in the last year before hybrid V6s  Vettel won - yaaawn 13 GPs . So expect a Merc domination , with most teams spending more  budget on 2021 prep . But what if you were a team like  Renault, once dominant, major manufacturer money , great drivers and desperate to move up ? Do you think 'sod it , most of 'em are concentrating on 2021 , let's really give it our all this year' ?

Think this years TT they are not running zero bikes ,, there bloody fast but just don’t seem right , when you hear a norton or a Ducati revving it’s nuts of ,,the sound is great  it’s , just like my sons old rally escort on full chat sounded lovely ,, just think if it was a electric rally car ,,which cannot be far away ?

Only sound which is the same is when the silly sod rolled it. ,cos electric car would sound the same and poss cost bit more to fix ,,,of to screwfix to buy couple more batteries

Pretty much a Mickey Mouse approach to their mobile IT installation, if the story is accurate. Quite a small server footprint with only 100 virtual servers, should be easy to cool with the right racks with glycol circulation and a small external chiller, no matter what the ambient temperature is. Sounds like they need a proper IT architect with datacentre experience working with their IT specialists.
