Adiós, thanks for the banter

My membership is up for renewal tomorrow, which I will not be doing seeing that the chances of getting my hands on a Seven of my choice in Spain is more unlikely than Boris Johnson sticking to any of the pledges that he has made.

So, thank you all for entertaining me and enlightening me with your wit and wisdom. You have all made the last year much more enjoyable than it would have otherwise been.

Look after yourselves and may you all find enough dry curvy roads to keep smiles on your faces.

On the upside, Pondgirl is now in a good position to realise her dream of getting a VW Buzz when they launch. (The 4wd high power version of course).

Adios, PB

Sorry you've not been able to fulfill your Seven dream and enjoy the drives we've come to love.  And we're always sorry to lose a member, for whatever reason.

Your contributions will be missed.  I'll bet our loss will not be VW's gain in the same way.

As a matter of interest what is the choice of car that you are looking for?

A 485 SV

Which is a 2 litre Duratech 240PS car with a number of base options above a similar UK specced car, priced at just under 49k euros plus vat.

I would have added a fairly extensive list of options to take the price up to around 70k, then I would have to pay import registration costs, and a 9% new foreign car tax before 21% vat being added.

All in all a lot cheaper to buy a set OF 20" HRE P101 for my M3 and put some track tyres on the existing 19" BMW rims for the ocasional days madness at one of the local circuits.
