Loaded ok on family iMac but unable to do a thing on MBA because iTunes account refuses to let me in on it - comes up with "unknown error" every time I try. The account is fine on iPhone, iMac and iPad so it is MBA specific not the iTunes account. Humph!

Worked fine for me on my iMac. Most noticeable improvement over Lion is the speed at which it renders web pages.

Just trying to log in to the Apple id account - refuses to let me in at all. Not a problem with the id itself, since that works on several other devices. Just a problem with my macbook air - been trying off and on for three days now

Jonathan - sorry if I am being a bit dense, but why do I need to change my id? Or do I need to sign out of everything using it on every device (which sounds a right pain!)? Am a bit confused...

i'm still not sure how far you are getting on the problematic Mac. My guess is that that machine thinks it's currently using a different Apple ID from the one you're trying (and which works on the others and is the one you want to use). So from the point of view of the problematic machine you need to change the Apple ID... Jonathan

Sorry if not explained properly - the problematic Mac doesn't (seem to) think it is using any id at all, as far as I can make out. On going into the App store App it doesn't display any id details but invites me to log in if I wish to acquire anything - every time I type in the id details it indicates "unknown error" and won't progress. I will try using my wife's id (or one of my children's) to see if that does anything different...

Ah... as discussed here? Some suggestions in that thread, but try repairing permissions using Disk Utility while you're reading it. Jonathan

Exactly as discussed there, thanks - but cannot find either "Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration" or "networkinterfaces.plist" to delete them!
