Yes will have to watch that!  More power and less weight always tempting.  

Thanks all given me a good idea of what to expect if I walk in to a garage asking to service and some prevative maintenance.  Only thing haven't got a ball park on is the cam belt change.  Any idea on costs for that?

For a 1.6K cam belt change with advised tensioner change & water pump dependent on car age/mileage is not beyond DIY.  A Haynes manual has all the detail required plus there are explanatory videos on line.

A Piper reinforced cam belt for a 1.6K is approximately £60. Tensioner £30-£40. Water pump £25-£45 depending on the source.

Labour would be at your local rate & the job(s) would take at least one & a half to two hours for a mechanic who knows what they are doing.....

Don’t no about UK  but iom rates vary by a mile labour pr hour ,,and not just mechanics
