We watched Call Me By Your Name a few months back. Visually terrific but the story kept us watching. Yes, the peach scene is.....well, a peach.
Back in university days a friend kept us entertained in the most politically incorrect and unacceptable ways ( by today's standards- this was early 70s) and he had an interactive joke that involved a peach which, until this film, was always my first thought when I heard the word peach.
Watched The Irishman the other night. CGI was brilliant. Loved the film.

And now for something different ,Sunday watched the rugby league game Leeds against Bradford , in aid of Rob Burrows  who has just been diagnosed with MND at the age of 37 , last ten minutes of game a few of the Bradford past players plus ,a lot of the Leeds players who won think it was 7 out of 9 cup finals at wembly , fantastic set of players all now retired but came back to honor burrows ,,Think one flew over from Aussie and one from skiing holiday to play and support him ,all for free they even paid to get into the ground ,, one player forgot his name only on few minutes got a boot in the forehead blood every were ,went of couple minutes bandaged  head then straight back on playing ,,,if that had been the set of dais playing football god nows what would have happened ,, watched football match later , player went down you would have thought he had been shot rolling round holding his head two first aides ran on to see him helped him up squirt of magic water and of he went ,bloody wimps

I'm looking forward to it. But I've noticed that I want to wait until I'm in just the right mood.

Good ideal JK. It is a moody beast. But when you are ready to be immersed, enjoy!

Uncut Gems - could be my film of 2020 and it's only January , Hustling , ducking , diving fast talking  New York jeweller playing very fast and very loose . High stakes gambles, robbing Peter to pay Paul  , bad guys a plenty , hot girls and more f****ing swearing than any film I have ever seen . Adam Sandler in the role of his life,

I was exhausted at the end of this film , the pace is bloody relentless, and it's as funny as it is shocking , and it is also occasionally very , very violent ) . Not for everyone - one couple even left the cinema in disgust after the first  ten  minutes of effs and blinds . Me ?  I effing loved it .

Thanks John, I hope it gets released here. If things don't play well initially  in a commercial sense, they sometimes don't make it down under.
