Golden Pride and 1845 are very smooth to drink none of the harshness of similar strength lagers. I'm on the fags and food run this afternoon and I've noticed flour is getting hard to find on the shelves also caster sugar presumably a lot of home baking going on!
I remember seeing a 70s Europa parked next to an Esprit at Prescott hill climb. The Europa was a good few inches lower than the Esprit. Quite astonishing!
Just think:- when I was a student, ESB was regarded as a particularly strong beer (Extra Silly Beer in colloquial conversation), now it is "a mere pup"!
