It'd be nice if the whining about brexit could be kept to the brexit thread instead of being wormed into every bit of blatchat by a handful of people.

We have Left the EU. We need to decide whether to attract battery manufacturing to the UK or not. The main thrust of the report is the implications of doing it or not doing it, and it estimates the effects on employment of that decision.

From the car review
- meaning you can access features from your phone on the move.
If the controls are well designed, this should not be required. Never mind the potential thought about fiddling with your handset while driving.

New-ish (to me anyway) vid on Harry's Garage regarding his thoughts on the post COVID car market and e-cars in general.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVFJUxeGFAE. Perhaps a more techno member can create a linky.

He has some interesting thoughts and data which indicate that the electric car will only reduce personal transport CO2 emissions by half and if you are in certain areas of high background emissions, it won't even achieve that.

As is often the case in these comparisons the CO2 produced in getting the fossil fuel from under the sea/desert and in to the vehicles fuel tank is not included. I appreciate it may be difficult to find an accurate source of that information but it can't be so insignificant as to be ignored.
