The GP surgery sent a text on 1 Sept saying I would be in line in November if there is any left.
I was slow at the various chemists in the town, probably as I am not "registered" with any of them.
Democratic dissent is not disloyalty, it is a positive civic duty
It will be interesting to see if airlines and governments insist on Covid vaccinations to either fly or enter a country you are not a citizen of. Alan Joyce has taken the first step in saying that it will be mandatory for flying on Qantas once vaccinations become widely available. I can also see it becoming a requirement to be able to obtain travel insurance outside of the country: https://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/qantas-passengers-coronavirus-vaccine-australia-b1760415.html
I don't wear a mask. I go out when I want and where I want to.
I will not be vaccinated.
Me and mrs Plug went for a walk up a hill yesterday.
At the top it was blowy and there was a bloke with his wife and two small children. They were flying a kite which was nice.
The bloke and his wife were wearing masks.
#1214 as far as I am concerned ,,every body is entitled to there own opinion ,,but if some one wants to wear a mask no problem ,, but would suggest keep your distance ,,,I'm in a diff place on IOM. As no masks ,distance ect ,,,as if nothing wrong ,,I no I'm a total pillock with my views at times ,,,but with all the crap going round in UK ,, respect other people's opinions ,and veiws on COVID
uncles they arrive in a Morgan if so it's there problem
another point ,,,think of all the hospital workers ,,who have to deal with this crap going on ,,,they will all not have a good Xmas and new year ,,you never no you may need there help one day ,,and they will be to knackered to help
Derek, everyone is entitled to do what they wish. If someone wants to wear a mask on the top of a hill that is up to them. I think they have been so scared by the propaganda and misinformation given constantly by TPTB that they have lost the ability to think for themselves. This is a problem.
If I don't wear a mask and masked people keep away, what is the problem? There is no evidence that masks do anything. The WHO have now gone back to their original conclusions that asymptomatic people cannot transmit.
I worked in the NHS for 35+ years. I have friends and colleagues who's lives, futures and families are now ruined due to the government's response to this so called 'pandemic'. The government is destroying the future of generations including my children.
I have family members who have not had the treatment they needed.
This is not about a virus.
Keep on clapping
People must hang.
To put that into perspective, that’s more than the ENTIRE cost of Crossrail (£18bn) or the Channel Tunnel (£9bn at the time, just under £20bn in today’s money).
#1216 ,,don't think anybody has any idea what is going on and what is right or wrong ,,don't think it matters who is in charge of UK ,,every body playing blind ,,some good points some bad ,,it's called life ,,good on you working go NHS , and yes totally agree with you it's going to take years to get back to anything near normal. ,,,went out with a couple last week for meal he is nr 80 ,,trapped nerves in neck ,,given strong pain killers with appointment ,,in 18 months to se specialist ,, what's the alternative ,,
what's the alternative just every body go about as normal ,,take your chances ,,,,makes you wonder at times
You have to get your head around the fact that it nothing to do with a virus.
Production of the vaccine based on global production shouldn't be a huge issue. But there are some potential issues if we are not careful.
Logic would say that local, in a global sense, production will be required for populations, e.g most the vaccine used in N America will be produced there, Europe production for European countries etc. The issue for us is that there is not enough production capacity in the UK for the UK population therefore we will need to import from Europe where the bulk of production will be. That will be Ok as long as we first, maintain regulatory alignment post 1/1/2021 and two, don't run into huge import bureaucracy, which of course we will. When you look at the debacle that is nuclear medicine alignment, which has people's serious consequences and has not been sorted I do worry about our ability to get stocks in, certainly against the timescales that are being muted.
Delivery shouldn't be an issue as long as the local teams are given the scope to plan locally, keep central government out of it. A one size fits all approach will fail but planning delivered based around knowledge of local populations will help.
There are still an awful lot of unknowns including one huge non-COVID one...
Make it simple ,,stick to bacon baps ,and white wine ,,cure anything with a nice walk on an empty beach ,
sod all anybody can do ,,,so just sit back enjoy Xmas as much as you can ,,,if you and your loved ones still here beginning of Jan ,,,,,what's the problem
