I have been rather dreading having to make this announcement, but we are where we are and for a raft of reasons we have decided to postpone and possibly cancel the 2020 Dunsfold Handling Day on 2nd May.
We will undoubtedly have some members aged 70+ and others with underlying health conditions who may have been prevented from attending. There may also be some who just feel they could not attend.
On a fully booked event (which this was), we have well over 100 people on site and although it is in the open air, there would inevitably be crowding at briefings, the food wagon and around the ESV. We would also have huge issues with loaning helmets for use on the Top Gear Test Track.
All those who have booked will receive an e-mail from Pink Angels and have their booking fee refunded.
There is no one more gutted than I that we have had to take this decision, but the health and welfare of our members must always be our top priority.
On a more hopeful note, I have secured a alternative date on 3rd October when, if the crisis has passed, we may be able to put on a replacement event. I will of course keep you informed.
In the meantime, may I thank you for supporting the DHD and please, all of you take care of yourselves, be kind to each other and stay safe.
See you on the runway....... in October hopefully
