oi Derek who are you calling a coward :) I said I'd wait my turn behind those with a higher priority, not loiter around "waiting to see what happens" ....cheeky bugger. :)

Newcy Brown / Guinness will certainly help..in moderation of course.

And yes watch the armchair logistics and supply chain "experts" tell those who do know how to implement huge logistics projects - "you don't want to do it like that.."

I used to think that getting Caterpillar parts around the world was a "big logistical challenge...."

Interesting query. If you owned a restaurant would you require proof of negative test/ vaccination for entry? If so, your market is based on safety and those like minded patrons. Or do you open to everyone and hope that you won't scare people away who don't want to be potentially exposed?

QANTAS is daying they will require vaccination or proof of recent negative test before boarding internationally for Aus. Personally, I'm very happy with that.

#16 Aerobod:

"...if like the flu vaccination there are preservatives used that could trigger Guillain Barre Syndrome in some people"

Would you direct us to the source of your information for the association of GBS with respect to vaccine preservatives, please.

That seems to me to be the best way to deal with it too.  Suggestions of a de facto compulsory vaccination programme don't surprise me though.  If you can't convince somebody of your viewpoint attempts to force it on them are going to fail.  Most people understand this, sadly some still don't.  Convince, don't compel!

#24 - Hi Malcolm, thimerosal has been eliminated from most vaccines, but still needs to be used in the flu vaccine, it may be the trigger for a GBS relapse, although there may be other reasons the flu vaccine may cause this statistically valid effect, too, although unlikely to cause it initially: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/concerns/guillain-barre-syndrome.htmlhttps://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK223724/

In Canada the current recommendation is not to get a flu vaccination if you have suffered from GBS in the past (as my niece has), it is checked for in the pre-screening questionnaire before getting the jab. With Covid, this may not be the case even if there is a GBS trigger risk, as the disease risk is much higher than for flu.

There are fake certificates whether positive or negative easily available online.

The fact that the UK on it's own certified a vaccine is only due to the good news factor the real epidemic may start on 01/01/2021.

All the scientists are always looking at a possible candidate to develop into a pandemic, they have done so in the past and will do so in the future.

The fake test certificates have shown that any paper evidence of test or immunization status is useless. A blockchain based electronic certificate is more appropriate, giving a complete guarantee of authenticity, without providing any other information than is absolutely necessary. A central verification system similar to that used for credit card authorisation may also work. A blockchain based certificate could easily be distributed for a small cost in a credit card sized piece of plastic with an RFID chip or added to existing cards or devices that have RFID accessible storage.

RFID chip should surely be implanted under the skin when the vaccine is administered.
