Up to now I've had most of my insurance with REIS - and been very satisfied with them

I have a very competitive offer from Lloyd and White/Ageas Insurance which includes full RAC cover, but does not have protected no claims discount

Ha anyone any experience of them? How well do you rate them?

Hi Anton,

Of course we'll always say try us as well, but if you are looking for a good place to look at reviews from actual customers for any broker or insurer a good source is Trust Pilot for an overall star rating and written reviews. This is usually a good indication for the company as a whole - for us we have our own Facebook page just for our specialist lines so we advise looking there too for people with similar vehicles and their experiences, however I'm not sure if other brokers/insurers have this but worth looking anyway.

If you do want to try us as well, by all means give us a call :)

I insured with them last year, the only issue I have is that when the car is at home it must be garaged. This is at anytime even if you park up go in the house for 5 min and the car gets stolen your not insured. I found this out reading my policy a couple of months after I took it out, so I won’t be using them again when renewal time comes.

Hi Mexman,

Just to mention with most 'garage terms' there's a timing slot for when applicable - i.e must be garaged when at the stated address (applies between 10pm and 6am) - different for each insurer - not all insurers have a term attached but many/most do for specialist cover. The other alternative is to insure on the drive if there is a chance it could be on the drive between the specified times.

Hope that helps!

Hi Carlie

yes I agree in the past that’s what I have had, but this years policy clearly states that if the car is at the home address it must be garaged at all times. I even spoke to the company who confirmed that to be the case with the under writer, utter madness in my opinion. Which is why I said I will not be renewing with them this year.

I'll be honest, I haven't heard that term before... All our underwriters that have terms for this apply for 'overnight'
Well, you know where I am at renewal Rotate

Thanks
Carlie
