Insurance - sligtly different question

Does anyone know the international rules fro insuring a car?

Insuring a Caterham is extremely expensive in Denmark, but I gather you don't pay very much.

Would it be possible to take out insurance in the UK for a foreign registered car?

I don’t think so.  I think the car has to be registered and kept at a UK address

Most insurers will have limits on how much the car can be out of the UK - often 30d or 60d at a time. Someone on SELOC found a policy which would allow up to 364 days, but it gets expensive as not many offer it.

I couldn't even insure a foreign national to drive my car in the UK.

Thank you.

Sounds like it's not a plan then.
