Are the Portmerion/Switzerland/Sweden tours official club tours with SCT involved?

Hi 'ViBlue7'

That's a good question :-)

These are events rather than tours - now that sounds pedantic I know .....

The Switzerland and Sweden events are organised by the relevant Clubs and we are invited to attend - 'tickets' will  be on sale shortly. Its rather like our 60th event where both the Swedish and Switzerland  Club members attended as our guests. No doubt - and I hope it will be the case - groups of members will travel together - its much more fun.

Laon and IOM are events that we have asked SCT to provide tickets, accommodation and ferries for as they are very much involved in the organisation of the event

Portmeirion  is a UK organised event that's open to all Clubs in the Network. Yes I know 'Bedjuggler' Wales and International sounds strange to us ;-) ......but to  members of Clubs  in France , Belgium, Germany, Netherlands it's International.    Its a venue for an event rather than a tour and just involves a hotel - so organised by us not a third party.

If I read your profile right you are local to me ViBlue7 - so lets talk at the next monthly club meet  :-)

Does that help ?

Chris

Can recommend Sweden, visited by Christine and me a couple of years ago. A warm welcome by the Swedes who couldn't have been more helpful. Next year's trip should keep us off the many gravel forest roads that we came across heading for our various lakeside cabins. Good fun in the right car, but maybe not the 7. The most testing thing was trying to find a roadside sign warning of moose, for a photo shot! Apparently the Germans have a tendency to pinch them.

Hi Roger and Christine,

The Sweden Trip looks very interesting and the wife has expressed an interest next year so maybe our first tour together rather than me on my own or with Hass! Obviously like the idea of going in a posse. How is this one going to be coordinated or am I inadvertently volunteering myself?

Cheers

Mark

Sweden now that looks interesting.

By the way, I also run a FB page aimed at those taking their 7's to international events, these events are not just 'club' related though and in 2019 we did help a few meet up and make the most of the events across the water.
