IVA and mirrors

Hi all, just a quickie..... is it an IVA requirement to have door mirrors? Caterham are insisting they fit them to the widescreen of my new car, but I don't want the side screens drilled as I have mirrors to fit the window sanctions.

Mirrors on stalks fitted to the windscreen stanchions on 2nd hole from top are required for IVA. Sidescreens/doors are drilled already but not through the vinyl so holes don't show.

Agree, the IVA mirror mounts need no drilling, and can be removed without damage to anything.  It's a IVA requirement to have two mirrors fitted.  Side screens must not be fitted, because they are classed as doors, and fail because they don't have a double latching mechanism.

Peter/Chris - many thanks, that is very clear. I'll ask if they can fit the mirrors to the stanchions and then I'll simply swap mirrors when I take delivery.
