Will look forward to that interview John. Thanks for your clarification Mike.
Excellent news re Jamie . Re Alice,it was the F3 cup and although her 'rivals' were not from the top drawer she was absolutely wringing the neck of her car and getting a lot of attention for doing so .
My F3 glory year was indeed 1970 but actually , ,my favourite era was late nineties to about 2011 , with very. very quick cars (much more powerful than the strangled stuff we had back in Senna/Brundle era) . And despite having seen drivers like them , PIquet , Hunt and the rest in F3 my favourite F3 driver ever was the endearingly bonkers Takuma Sato. I have never seen anyone drive an F3 like he did - on , or over, the limit each lap, every lap , . And he was seriously quick too .
Congrats on the first Pole Position in the W Series! Great job.
W Series on Channel 4... now.
Well done, great win for Jaime! Solid drive after an early mistake.
Very impressive, especially the recovery from the mistake.
Not sure who DC's co-commentator was, but she is pretty dire.
Brand new Series, still with a few short comings, but hopefully they will get ironed out and it will get slicker and more interesting as the season progresses.
Good for the Brits, but a shame for Emma Kimilainen as she should have been a front runner.
I've just FFd through the recording and actually JK, it was someone called Claire Cottingham. I like Lee McKenzie, she's been around F1 for a while and is an experienced hand.
Ms Cottingham may be a producer, presenter reporter and journalist (at least, according to her website), but she is no race commentator. She kept getting the battles wrong, eg saying Jaime C was under pressure, when in fact, she was pulling away etc. DC corrected her on several occasions. Good race commentary is an art. Just seems odd that CH4 would put a novice as lead comm.
