Taffia Tours announce the best Blat of the year (probably).
We’re planning a relaxed drive over to Aberdyfi on the West Wales coast on Saturday 19th May 2018 and we were wondering if any one fancied joining us?
As there is a Royal event in Windsor & the FA Cup Final on the same day the mass populous will be otherwise engage to leave the Welsh roads clear for the day.
This not to be missed event has become one of our most pleasant and popular days out for all the family so bring your grannie, boyfriend, girlfriend or even your wife. Last year saw 60+ cars leave Chepstow and turn up on Aberdyfi Promenade for fish and chips in the blazing sun. For those that have done it before you know all about this fantastic experience so spread the word to those thinking about joining us.*shout*
As with all the Taffia days out we have a casual start with coffee & a bacon or sausage butties served from around 08.30am at our very friendly local meeting place, the Piercefield Inn on the A466 near Chepstow race course, most of you should know the venue by now - it’s also our monthly meet pub. We plan to leave the Piercefield at about 10.00am - in no particular order, but not all at once, to avoid a large traffic jam of sevens cluttering the towns & villages & frightening the sheep!*thumb_up*
The usual excitement of finest roads Wales has to offer has been mixed into the 280 mile round trip, taking in some old favourites along the scenic roads past the wandering sheep! After this spectacular scenery and tarmac heaven (having given the rev limiter a good workout) we hit the prom at about 12.30pm to see the sights, have a chat & breathe in the salty atmosphere before filling ourselves with the local produce. It’s up to you how long you spend on the sea front before meandering back to the Piercefield to reflect on the fun of the day and have cheeky half amongst old and new friends from around 4:00pm. You can even have a bite to eat if the fish & chips didn't fill you up!!
A "suggested" route with full road book and some fuel stops will be available at the pub in the morning but there is no fixed drive, go with the flow at your own pace & get lost a few times. The best bit is its all free, no booking, just roll up, sign on and leave with a grin. The start point is our Area pub, The Piercefield Inn, Chepstow, NP16 6EJ.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 19th May 2017; get it in your diary NOW
