May LF - Charlie Coode

Possibly already been said but what a superb article - I have to say one of the most interesting I have ever read (and there have been a number of good ones in Lowflying recently), thoroughly enjoyed it and loved the picture of the B17 too !

Agreed - I worked for the Army Air Corps for a number of years, but don't believe I ever met Charlie.

At AAC Netheravon (7 Regt) our Commanding Officer was a Lt Col Charlie Blount - I only found out years later that he is the father of James Blunt the singer!

Charlie Coode's interesting article has made me consider writing about my early career experiences that even feature two Caterham stories for a LF article. Trouble is, what I think others might find interesting, could, quite possibly, bore the pants off them!! Rofl

Hi Nick - do please consider writing a piece for us - I'd love to hear from you.  It's no doubt true that no story will appeal to everyone (I know that's the case when I read other magazines!) but although it can sometimes divide opinions, I typically receive more positive comments about articles that are not directly Seven-related than I do about the more 'obvious' stories...

Proof reading and amending is what I'm here to help sort, so I'd encourage any member who has a story to tell not to be concerned about that sort of detail getting in the way of an interesting account...

All the best and I hope to hear from you (and others?) soon.

Hi Michael

Thanks for your encouraging words... I’ll put something together and send it over!

Cheers

Thanks for the feedback! When you write an article, you never quite know the reception it will get, so it makes it all worth while to get a comment like that. Much appreciated!

A very nice piece , and the latest  example of how the policy to include not just pure Seven content, but also stuff which will appeal to many(or even most) Seven owners. was the correct one

May I also thank Tom Price ( a homophone for Wales' best F1 driver )  for his measured piece on climate change , in response to the rather fevered MAG article in April LF
