A lovely job - well done!

It looks as though you have a professional facility to carry out the work?

That looks great.  Well done.

Just one point, it's an SV so it will not have been an Academy car as they all have the S3 chassis.

Thanks for comments fella's, I'm sure the colours (or the fact it has stripes) aren't to everybody's taste but i like it

I used Normandale in Daventry for the paintwork & its exceptional, they have a CNC vinyl cutter they use to cut masking tape so the stripes & the logo are in paint & under the lacquer

Derek Batty, i think you just have to do what you can with the facilities & skills you have available & try to enjoy the trip

JamesB, yes i have it in my workshop which helps massively

Matthew Willoughby, i think you're probably right, its definitely an SV, not sure where i got that its an Academy from

Toughie, I've never driven one or a 7 type car of any sort yet, I drove it out of the workshop at the weekend to turn it round but thats all I've ever done, feels a bit weird to be honest, like I'm sitting in the boot of a normal car, very similar to the sensation of driving a car in Gran Turismo on the Playstation Smile

Oh, I didn't realise!  Wow!  You're in for a terrific experience.  Nothing else drives like it.  You'll love it.  Especially after all that great work you've done on it.

One caveat, have you had the suspension set up?  It can make a huge difference.

If it's any consolation,

  • I was crapping myself the first time I drove one - a demonstrator model.
  • I was crapping myself the first time I drove my own - a two-and-a-half hour drive in the poring rain.
  • And I crap myself every time I first take her out after winter.

Every drive is an adventure.

P.S.  And then there's track days!
