There is a member on here who's name has slipped my mind who made some of the 7 grill in Ti, might be worth asking if he can do the same in the old style to,

The 7 version was laser cut and superbly made but ISTR he's a Ti fabricator so I cant see this being to much of a challenge for him using Ti rod.  Thumb Up

If you want to save yourself the trouble of making your own, I think I have an original somewhere in my attic I'd be interested in selling.  BM if it is of interest and I'll have a search for it amongst all the other junk up there.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm 99% sure it won't fit a more recent Seven. I've had a closer look at the new version and it has 8 horizontal bars, rather than 7 so they have definitely made a new version of the old style. Duncan

DJ - I have a Y2000  grey grille sans 7. Never used so in excellent condition.

Approximate dimensions: 441mm wide. 219mm high. Mounting points are 110mm either side of central bar (measured centre to centre).

Do you wish to barter????

Thanks for the offer Geoff, I've ordered some stainless wire now, but if my project goes pear shaped (possibly literally Biggrin ) I might be in touch! Duncan

I really don't like the newer grilles so picked up a couple of old grilles from ebay over the years and both my cars (98 live axle and now 2010 Sigma) ran with old type grilles. I had to buy a new nosecone from Caterham for my 2010 car and was worried the old grille wouldn't fit, but it's fine, so I'm not sure what the differences are.

For my S1 I made my grille from flat ally bar as per the original, and was thinking of making one for my S3 like the one on this goeorgous car in Japan:

That alloy one looks great Smile but I still prefer the original S3 style. I've just fitted my new grill, and will post some photos when I have the car out soon. Duncan
