You cannot beat something top heavy
Self in last two houses had karndean flooring , no complaints ,there is a better version called amtico ,but the son-in-law law used to sell and fit it , amtico not worth the extra cost ,,, look floors are us on int we got it from there , put on pallet wrapped up with adhesive posted to iom ,and a hell of a lot cheaper than buying here
Are all the cupboards so you can separate the booze Stephen
Katndene flooring we put in last house could not fault it ,, sure slowed the dog down
One of Douglas prom many years ago no clue how that got there
at least it’s the right way up
If you are planning on amtico or similar, then Screeded floors should be sealed with a cementitous self levelling sealer which is spread with a pin roller to remove air bubbles, then sanded if required to remove trowel marks.
Screeded floors often have joints or cracks in them and amtico doesn't cover gaps or imperfections (over time the flooring sags into the crack) thus the need for self levelling material, which fills the crack
By the time you add up the cost of providing a good substrate then the product, it is often a lot more than you anticipated so please consult a reputable contractor for advice.
Also if wooden floor boards or chipboard ,make sure all existing boards well screwed down ,,not nailed ,,unless ring nails ,then cover with thin ply ,before lay karndine , but a good fitter would tell you that,,if he says it’s ok floor is good and does not need plying ,,,tell him to piss of ,get someone else
