I'm working on a prospect with the sales team and I'm looking for a couple of pointers on the above prior to jumping on a call.

Best of luck in finding the support you need. At some point when, all is calm, it would be interesting to know what it is about.
Couldn't find anything on the API specs they use / publish, but the platform seems to be Java based with MS SQL as the core DB environment with H2 Java DB technology used too, if that is the case they may just use direct JDBC API calls to H2.
