Retropower and Binky

Having enjoyed the Project Binky vids (following recommendation from this forum!) I have now started watching the Retropower build of Gordon Murray's Mk1 Escort.  Massive budget vs Binky build but still quite interesting.  I have just started my own Mk1 build, definitely more Binky than Retro budget.

Am very late to the YouTube party but now look forward to my weekly Retropower Uncut fix...  also enjoy Harry's Garage.

re Gordon Murray's Escort, Project Utah, Project Vader etc...  big projects with big budgets (assume so given just how long they're taking) with an astonishing level of attention to detail and high level of workmanship.

I'm a big fan of Retropower - and their videos (but I'm biased... one of the principals is the son in law of a long-time friend).

I've been hearing that some of the budgets are "not as big as you might think" -  but I'm not sure about that; I mean, how long is a piece of string? (And I can think big!)

I love the Alfa they did with the Millington Diamond engine... and the Imp... and...

I'm going to try a mk1 Escort with the 420R spec engine and Mazda gearbox, should fit but wont be cheap and Im not yet sure its worth it.

That rather depends on how you calculate "worth it"!
Sounds like a fine idea to me... (but it's not my money!).
