This afternoon I received an email to one of my personal emai addresses from "Patients Know Best" inviting me to access my health record.
It was stated to be from a named person at my local NHS Trust (don't know if they are real as I have had no contact with them) and had a link to complete registration and also another link to log in to your record.
A colleague at work received a similar email to her personal email address. Neither of us have any of each others contact details. We live in different places and are registered with different GP practices. Neither of our spouses received similar emails. I've got an upcoming consultant appointment but she hasn't
I rang my GPs admin line and the person I spoke to was unaware of "Patients Know Best" but asked me to forward the email as this would be picked up by the practice managers. They were obviously concerned about patients getting such unsolicited emails.
I also googled them - there seems to be a lot of stuff, seemingly claiming links to the NHS.
Has anyone else had such an email or does any member in the medical professions know anything of this organisation and their authenticity.
