thanks, though we are struggling to get a ferry crossing, so it's looking less likely we will make it :-(
Regarding the camping option, if staying for two nights will it be safe to leave your tent set up while on the fish and chip run?
That will be fine. The campsite is in the garden of one of our Taffia members. Message me if you'd like his contact details.
I've checked my satnav and I do have the 2019 route stored, so hopefully it will all work out rather nicely!
Given the time of year, shorter nights, greater probability of challenging weather conditions I've been looking at remaining around the mid-Wales areas on Saturday night, and then returning north on Sunday. I figure it will make Saturday feel a little more relaxed knowing we don't have to drive back up north immediately after our chips. I know the full Taffia run is to return to the pub, but that means clocking up some mileage when considering the full distance.
On the off chance, does anyone have any recommendations for mid-Wales hotel, say no more than 30mins from our chip stop. Thanks
I'm in two minds about doing this.
I have booked a night in Chepstow on the Friday but think the 300 miles of twisties+100 motorway miles might be to long a day (especially as I have to drive to Swansea from Surbiton the following day!).
So my question is how long does it generally take to get from Chepstow to the end of the Taffia?
Doc007 - I am planning to do it as a day trip from Chiswick, it will be fine!
