you could pick a PRG trailer up whilst at Oakmere next time as there only down the road.
Finally decided on the solution, I'm going with a used, to reduce depreciation, Volvo V90CC Pro. It's got all the kit I wanted including safety systems, HUD and a tow bar, plus of course AWD. Hasn't quite got the MSport brakes, but a compromise was needed. I think it will make an ideal tow car. Now need to find the shuttle type trailer.
have a Volvo V50 diesal and was experiencing the same issues and also the engine would go into limp mode due to the short distances. Issue resolved by getting a new DPF filter ( £180 ) and giving the car a long run once a week . The DPF will get block up doing such short distances. The V50 is a great tow car .
Yeah I'm aware of the DPF challenge, so I'll have to be careful. Our commute is slightly longer than when we had our Q5 and DPF problems so I'm hopeful. Either way I won't loose the new car depreciation, and so if doesn't work out I have a sensible option to swap.
My brother bought a new evogue , and cos he only does short runs he gives it a good blast once a week over the mountain ,,it’s only done poss 20000 miles must have been in garage six times in last two years ,, last time he went to Liverpool ,drove of ferry middle of Liverpool, went to limp mode. Manufacturers no they are crap so put a button to press for help didn’t take long for garage to come ,, drove back to garage with mechanic following. ,,they said you will have to leave it for couple of days lent him one of there’s ,, when he got back mechanic said if you live on iom I would sell it and buy a petrol one ,, make sure when guarante is up you take extension one out
