Trump, Iran and Stormy Daniels

Is he trying to remove focus at any cost or WTF is going on?

US (and others) have a signed agreement with Iraq. Unless the conditions have been broken, how can he just cancel it?

The USA might claim what in English is called force majeure.

Nobutseriously I don't know the nature of the agreement but the metatreaty is the Vienna Convention: the USA and Iran both signed but did not ratify. It probably won't become relevant in this case but it might well if the UK ever Leaves the EU.

Whilst I deprecate Trump's morals, I think Stormy Daniels is a side-show (imo). The matter does illustrate in a very clear way his compulsive factual inexactitude (Churchill used the phrase "terminological inexactitude") or his economy with the truth (Robert Armstrong).

Whilst the Iran nuclear deal and stand-off with North Korea will draw attention away from his personal life, I don't believe it to be contrived.

The storm is being whipped up in the case of Stormy by her attorney - he is really being aggressive in his attacks on Trump.  I'm sure that Trump and his team would be more than happy for the Stormy story to go away.  Bubbled up again yesterday as it was a deadline for reporting the payment by Trump to Cohen.  Footnote was added saying that the listing was not legally required and was just there for 'transparency'.  Pretty much everyone else disagrees with the statement.

Stormy Daniels. Really?

He ran saying he would get rid of the Iran deal. He has.

BHO knew he did not have the domestic support to get the two thirds majority in the Senate to ratify the deal as a Treaty, so he never sought to make the Iran deal the more legally binding Treaty. It is an Executive agreement which is not binding under international law. It has within it periodic reviews, after which the sanctions could be reimposed. So back in Jan, Trump set in motion a 120 day period to fix the deal which did not happen, and here we are.

It’s quite amusing that there seems to be some panicking by various people, and that the Iranians are intimating they will release the names of those who took backhanders setting up the deal if the Europeans don’t keep it in place.

But then, various people and BHO never expected the 2016 Presidential election outcome.
