This is utterly disgusting

In every possible way.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/jun/13/man-urinates-next-to-pc-keith-palmer-memorial-during-far-right-protest

I should apologise for bringing ot here, so please accept my apologies.

Also, you have the bizarre position of a right-wing demonstration "to protect our monuments" attacking the police who were there to er protect the statues and the fabric and population.

Then the ultimate irony is that these same demonstrators are throwing Nazi salutes immediately next to the statue of Winston Churchill, one of its most vigorous opponents.  This is stupidity of the most crass type on a monumental scale.

As say Stephen it's gone mad that bloke should be arrested and serve six months jail no reprieve ,,,if the courts got tough it might deter a few ,,,UK gone soft as far as I'm concerned ,,we're bowing down to every one ,,,my poor old dad would turn in his grave if he new this is what he went to war for

"Left" or "right" these are just all thugs out for violence. They need to be dealt with firmly.

I doubt he read the inscription, looks like he found what looked like a place which was not overlooked and needed a wee. Stupidity is usually a better explanation to this sort of thing than malice.

Doug, urinating in public is disgusting.  Not realising where you are urinating is disgusting, if you can't even see where you are using is pathetic.

The memorial is on the wall of the Parliamentary estate, so this is not the least a quiet corner, even in the middle of a civil disturbance.

These f**king dimwits would be loud in condemnation about the murder of a policeman by anyone, let alone an Islamic fanatic. (Any "fundamentalist" is dangerous to most of us; the clue is included in the description).

I very much hope he is found and prosecuted.

I don't share your outrage GJT - it doesn't look like an attempt to disrespect the memorial to a police officer murdered by a nutter. Don't confuse this as support for those who were out "protecting". They looked like a group of football hooligans and many had been drinking throughout the day. The group that were out claiming to be protecting statues didn't look to have a brain cell between them. It looks like the guy was caught short and found a place where he wasn't going to be overlooked. I don't suppose public toilets were reopened for the day. Pubs and cafés are shut so there are no toilets to use.

Doubt he could read, anyway.

I understand that the insult to Keith Palmer is accidental but the careless disregard for the real estate is appalling.

But to manage to do this on a demonstration to "protect memorials" (a counter-demonstration for which there was no demonstration to counter) is surely irony which makes you grimace rather than slightly smile.

For me, pi$$ing on the street is disgusting. Doing in what is by no standard a quiet corner is repulsive.

Of course they are hooligans (careful here, I not referencing the origin of the word).

Steve, I agree about the intellectual level but was trying to couch my case without assumption.

The crowd were shouting "Engurrr land" which informs me about their mindset too.
