Sounds like a lazy BMW workshop manager to me. Here are all the part numbers and pin types for one set of connectors on my current M240i: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=2G13-USA-03-2017-F22-BMW-M240i&diagId=61_4034
You can then enter a part number in a Google search and find an online seller if you don't want to go to the BMW dealer, so for this 2-pin connector repair kit it is 61-13-2-359-999: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-bmw-parts/socket-housing-repair-kit/61132360043~oeb/
In fact, here are all the different electrical system components available: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partgrp?id=2G13-USA-03-2017-F22-BMW-M240i&mg=61
Good to se CC getting a good review for a change ,,,,,keep it up
Update - my switches arrived earlier this week. I spoke to Darren who said that the postal delivery has been variable. Some arriving next day, others taking longer. S-o-T.
I interviewed Graham Macdonald for Lowflying a couple of weeks back and (with Midas' agreement) took the opportunity to highlight this thread to him. Always nice to be able to point out positive feedback
