Wives that snore

I got up before 5 this morning as could not stand the horrendous noise next to me anymore. I can still hear her through the lounge ceiling Frown

To be fair, she has a bit of a cold at the moment but I think I shall move to another bedroom tonight.

Anyone else care to share similar experiences or remedies.

Martin,

In our house I’m the culprit, usually worse when I’ve had a beer or two.

I’m now conditioned not to lay on my back and if I’m noisy, I get an elbow in the ribs or shook so I change position.

I recall seeing a medical program a few years ago, where in a severe case, someone had part of their upper pallet removed with an electronic scalpel which cured it. Xmas pressy perhaps? :-0

Hope you are well

Ian

My wife snores and for the last 2 years has been going through "the change" so is freezing cold at bed time and then naked and coverless by morning (which, b4 anyone says any thing, i realise has advantages!). I put up with the snoring for 25 years but 'the change' needed more drastic action as i was getting 2 hours sleep at best. As i do all the cooking, cleaning washing and school runs plus work (she works harder than i do in term time) 2 hours sleep was affecting my 'joie de vivre' I now sleep in our annex which is detached, has better insulation and heating and wi fi plus a smart TV a nicely stocked fridge and induction hob and oven (for emergency use). Ive taken my guitar and amp which means i can literally blow the walls off without anyone being disturbed should i wish plus the dog is with me. I'm sleeping better than i have in 25 odd years.

There are no down sides. We give each other a goodnight kiss after watching whatever box set is current and i wave her off and then i bring her tea at 7-7.30 and we chat about the days plans. If i'm lucky i get a 'booty call' Bounce everyone's a winner.

It's not permanent but it works at the moment and the dog is VERY happy.

I was woken the other night by the dog who'd got out of her bed to come over and paw me - she couldn't sleep because I was snoring!

If it’s not your fault there is no reason why you should move rooms.  Suggest she does and then she might do something about it.  Good luck btw
