Caterham mirrors windscreen mounting

Two Caterham windscreen mounting mirrors, same size as the standard mirrors but they screw directly into windscreen retaining bolt holes.  One is damaged, see circled red in photo, one retaining studs (retained by a grubscrew) has broken.  I think you can buy a replacement stud here but not certain:

Caterham fitted them to my previous CSR, I was going to dump them but "on reflection" I thought someone might need a spare or replacement.  They are offered free, I will pay postage, maybe the recipient could donate a few quid to our supported Dementia charity

If these will fit my S3 windscreen then I will very happily benefit from your generous reflection, and pass the generosity on to the Dementia charity (my family are also struggling with the effects of this).

Hi Malcolm

PM me with your address and I will post them off to you.  They should fit ok because all the windscreen retaining screws are the same.  Only draw back with windscreen mounted mirrors is that the sidescreens only open 45 degrees but you soon get used to it and in any case you won't lose anything.

I was looking for mirrors to attach to the windscreen mount, I don't really want to drill new holes. These mirrors look like they are designed for that purpose but I cannot find them on the Caterham website, do you think they don't stock them anymore?

an alternative I found are the Pitking ones, which look okay but a bit smaller I think https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/pitking-products-universal-alloy-race-mirrors-pair-1097933/

Does anyone have any experience with these or can offer an alternative solution. Want to use them for the odd track day and hoping they give a better view than the door mounted standard mirrors.

The first mirrors look like  the standard Caterham mirrors but mounted on the IVA mounts

Somebody on the forum probably has an unwanted old set sitting around if you ask.

I've used the Pitking mirrors, off and on for the last 3.5 years for road use and find them perfectly adequate, Being fitted to the stanchion they don't vibrate, unlike door mounted mirrors. The rear view is narrow but enough if they're positioned correctly. The black finish isn't very weather resistant (I use my car all year round) but nothing a quick spray with a black aerosol can't correct. Incidentally you can find exactly the same Pitking mirrors on eBay advertised much cheaper as motorcycle mirrors however they don't seem to come with the required adapters to screw into the window stanchion.
