deanteam Posted January 30, 2019 Share Posted January 30, 2019 A Rare OpportunityWe are offering for sale our Lotus 7 chassis number SB 2488, 1969.It is green with polished aluminium body, flared wings. The chassis is painted grey as period. However to allow club track days it is fitted with a tall fia roll bar and 4 point seat belt anchorage,bits supplied by Arch. It has been to Le Sept a number times and more recently to Cadwell Park shortly before the 60th anniversary. Dunlop alloys are shod in yoko 21s.The car is fitted with a Twin Cam, built and serviced by Bruno Schaffner in Switzerland, Bruno is known in Formula Junior, Historic Lotus and Ginetta racing.The gearbox is 3 rail Ford 4 speed from period. The back axle is Ford Escort but with LSD and light metal nose differential. The suspension is more or less period but with adjustable shock absorbers.The cockpit is little changed, bench seats but speedo and rev counter updated. Red steering wheel.There are a few spares, full set of wings, gearbox bits.The car was imported to Switzerland in 1998 where it still lives.If anyone is interested please contact us, we can supply pictures and more details.
