I find the bigger the wheel the less effort to steer and less jaring.

I'll be putting some rack spacers in this winter to help with the bump steer (no scientific measurement / calculation of BS just based on 'feel' and blatchat knowledge)

My kit was delivered with a 290 and was comfortable, except knee space was tight so I sold it and went 260. Lowered floor created more knee space so want to revert.

Is it this one http://lowflying.lotus7.club/lowflying/search.jsp?author=0&category=0&tag=0&month=0&year=0&query=%22bump+steer%22+shims&orderBy=3&strPage=1&doSearch=1

Or even Paul Deslanders pdf here: http://www.fastgrandad.co.uk/documents/Measuring%20and%20Correcting%20Bump%20Steer%20on%20a%20Caterham%207.pdf

I have around 10mm under my rack and have been thinking of having made new clamps to avoid the shims because it looks untidy.

Easy enough to sort with a spirit level and some plywood 'shims' - rare to find a plumb floor !

Is the gauge single sided... make sure yo check both sides - not uncommon for them to be different, the pick up point on the Spitfire uprights were not exactly precision !

You can do both sides at once with simple laser levels and zip tie, dace forward or backwards
