Thanks, both.

I bought mine about four years ago and was so pleased we bought one for the house when we were having problems with the boiler.

I'm just sorry we wont get the benefit of the discount.

P.S.  My contact at Meaco has said that if they get enough orders from us they'll increase the discount.

Excellent.  I'm glad to hear it went through correctly.

It's always nice to know there's no teething problems to sort out.  Thanks for posting that.

Well done!  I made an enquiry from the website but sadly they don't have a model running off 12V DC.

Well done Alan.  These are seriously good pieces of kit (I have two of them, one used for a fixed period of time every day in our cellar).  In my experience they are reliable and very effective.

However, watch the cost of operating them.  They can be surprisingly power hungry and if you leave them running (despite the various auto-off functions) the bill can be a bit of a shock when it hits you.  Look at the quoted running costs per hour and then add that up over, say a month,

But a lovely bit of lateral thinking with the discount for Club members, Alan.

Thanks again.

I'm open to suggestions for other products I ought to pursue.

Hi Al, I've been wondering about C-tek battery conditioners? In the last three years I've bought 2 ( Time to Go) model and very impressed

might be worth a look?

Was just thinking of those myself, Rog.  Though I'll need to contact them during work hours.  They are Swedish, however, so I don't know if they'll sell direct, and my guess is that they don't need to offer a discount to sell their products.

We're just as likely to get a discount through our club discounts with Demon Tweaks or Halfords.

No harm in trying, though.
