Anglesey sprints 3rd and 4th Oct Cancelled

Just heard from LDMC that the Anglesey sprints on 3rd and 4th October have been cancelled.....

"At the July Committee Meeting, Longton & District Motor Club formally voted to cancel the events originally scheduled for the 31st August at the Oliver’s Mount Hillclimb venue, and their sprint meeting on 6th September at Three Sisters. It was agreed that a final decision regarding Anglesey would be taken at the club’s Committee Meeting at the beginning of August.

Last week the club was approached by the circuit requesting an urgent decision regarding our events in October. It has clients able to organise non-Motorsport UK events that the Welsh Government refers to as “gatherings with a maximum of 30 people present”. Longton’s committee members were contacted for comment, with a decisive result in favour of cancelling its October events, due mainly to the uncertainty and risks associated with the Covid-19 situation and bearing in mind our close relationship with the circuit.
We will contact all competitors directly with details on the options available for entry fees paid towards both the September Three Sisters sprint and the Anglesey weekend sprints."
