Barbon 4th July cancelled

Just received this from Barbon, our first round cancelled.
 

We have today taken the very tough decision to cancel the Baron Hillclimb that was due to take place on 4th July.

Being just 4 days after the end of the current suspension of motorsport, we felt that waiting any longer for a further announcement from MSUK would have been unfair to all our officials & support services who need to be able to plan for the event well in advance.

With the information currently available, we could not see how to adequately protect our marshals, rescue crews and medics in the event of an incident on the hill.

 

It had been a difficult decision, but we hope that you will agree that it is the responsible thing to do at the present time.

We will of course refund in full all competitors' entry fees over the next few days.

 

Stay safe everyone - we hope you will support the events when we return in June & July next year - assuming we are allowed to run them!
