Stephen Long
Good afternoon all, What are the specific regulations with regard to suspension for my Roadsport 125 Sigma. I would like to have a go at sprinting and need to sort out my suspension but don't want to push myself out of class 1. Longy
Area Representative Richard Price Posted June 19, 2019 Area Representative Share Posted June 19, 2019 Stephen,The current championship regulations are here:-https://www.lotus7.club/sites/default/files/images/Docs/SpeedChamp/Championship/Lotus%20Seven%20Club%20Speed%20Championship%202019%20Published.pdfThere do not appear to be any restrictions on suspension at all. However, I'd act with extreme caution before spending on suspension upgrades!I compete for many seasons with standard springs and dampers. I changed to Nitrons at the end of the 2017 season, but I can't say my performance has been significantly different since fitting them.Fastest time of the day was set at our first Curborough sprint on standard Bilsteins on my son Tom's car.So. Having your car set up correctly to start with should be your first step. The only change I'd recommend for a standard Roadsport, would be a stiffer front anti roll bar. I ran with narrow track for many years with a 5/8" red bushed front bar.

Dobson_justin
Richard’s advice is spot on. I did my first season last year and was tempted to change the car before I started. I left it as it was and then worked out what I needed with help from the other drivers and gaining a bit of experience to know what was best for me.
