Manstein
Mike it was the LADS trip returning home after staying near Consett. I bailed out after Bollihope Common to head over Monks Moor to Middleton and home via Alston. The rest were heading home via Barnard Castle over the Stang and Grinton Moor to Hawes and Ribblehead. Had to put the hood on over Yad Moss and Hartside.

Domus
Tops were not deployed at any time. Sat Nav took us a different route from Reeth to Askrig. It was narrow, bumpy and not recommended.
Manstein
If the sat nav took you over the dreaded Summer Lodge moor Peter you have my sympathy its not even a pleasant run in a Defender!

tbird
LADS next time you are thinkinking of going to Otterburn for coffee, come to Bellingham instead, the food is way better here https://www.carriages-tearoom.co.uk/ , in the summer it would be best to ring ahead with numbers, and get a couple of tables booked Tim
