Olgawld
Not really got a definite answer for this so far. Are all xflow engines stamped 831c8315R34 from South Africa and same as the ax blocks? I've got one in my Supersprint which has ax stamped above the 831C etc but I've seen others without the ax stamp but still with the same 831C etc. Would it still be the same thicker walled block? 7 wonders of the world
AX / 831C I understand are the same, wall thickness however.... theres no gaurentee that you will get good bores without going offset on 2 and 3, again without ultrasonic or simialr testing you may find a thin area of casting and end up with a kettle, unless your after the last ounce of BHP I'd go to something safe like 83mm, have thicker wall and spend the money on a decent alloy head this will yield more bang for your buck.Chasing a big bore (1800 plus) engine could get very costly....
