Automotech 4 post lift and Avon zzs supplier

Two-post lifts take more room (width) than four-post, and also require a stronger floor structure.   I have a four-post lift (Chinese in origin but supplied and installed by a UK business) which has been excellent.  I also have a sliding jacking beam (bridge jack) that allows you to lift the car when it is on the ramp, to get wheels off and so on.  I concluded  that this was the best option for me.

One other good thing - you will see a lot more of your friends (and find that you have more than you thought) once it gets known that you have a lift in the garage!  *rofl*

Hi James -

Thanks for your advice - I will be going for the four poster as you say because I dont have the width for a two post, I was also going to go for a jacking beam.

As you so rightly mention - I dont actually have a car but thought it would be a sneaky back door to help in the popularity stakes.

Many thanks for all the replies - Tom the cars still here, sorry just my attempt at a small joke, great if you move into the valley !!.  Bought a pair of ZZS's 185-55-13's from BMTR as per Nigel's recommendation £100 plus Vat each, don't know how that compares but was cheaper than a quote I had a few weeks ago elsewhere. Delivery was good came first thing the day after.  Avon make 245's for the rear (the YOKO's i've been on only went to 205) so I can return to the original spec the car came with when it was on ACB's

Just been speaking to Automotech - looking good still.  Been having a last measure up.

Stu, technical ignorance about to follow....

My car is on Khumo Ecsta V70A and rears are more worn than front so was thinking I'd need to replace first. Fronts are 175 60 13's and rears are 235 45 13's. I was going to replace like for like (8 or 8.5j on the rear so need something to match tyre wise)

What is the downside of a larger rear and the difference front to rear makes? Ta in advance
