p.mole1
I have a set of standard Bilstein dampers and have removed the springs and bushes. I can't get the lower spring seat off. I have a set of adjustable spring seats but how do you get them onto the damper body. It seems the damper has to taken apart? as the damper eyes are larger than the internal diameter of the spring seats.
p.mole1
Sorted the top damper eye unscrews, now does anyone know were to get hold of the damper bushes as mine are shot.
revilla
Contact Bilstein in Leicester? They are very helpful and have everything there to refurbish the dampers. Be very careful not to mark the damper rod when unscrewing the eyes. At the factory they clamp them in soft aluminium jaws in a huge vice. They'll change them for you if you ask. Tazio
Search Caterhamparts for ' bush, damper eyelet'.......
p.mole1
Thanks, never even considered Caterham spares, they have them in stock. The damper eye took some shifting it must have some very strong thread lock on it.
